Paccione - Bozeman TaproomFrom:adam P To:Agenda Subject:Taproom Approval Date:Wednesday, December 14, 2016 10:06:55 AM I'm writing to show my support for a YES vote by the City allowing the Bozeman Taproom to have an All Beverage License. There are already a dozen establishments serving alcoholwithin a block of the school and there has been no harm to date. Due to the Taproom's support of a family atmosphere I don't feel that the addition of spirits will have any negativeimpact on the neighborhood. I personally don't drink...I haven't for years!!! I do understand though that alcohol is a big part of our culture. It always has been and always will be. In my opinion it's up to the parentto communicate with their own children about what they may deem right or wrong. Im also going to have to assume that most of said parents drink at home or go out to have a drinkthemselves. But that is only an assumption. There are also many other establishments very near to the school that already have All Beverage Licenses. Again in my opinion some ofthese other establishments promote "binge drinking". A lot of these places have music at night and pay their bands based from how much alcohol is sold. To me that's actually promoting"binge drinking". Even with the way some of these places operate, there has been no harm done to the school itself or the children that attend. Bozeman Taproom does not promote any type of drinking in this manner! It is a classyestablishment in place for those of us who do drink. That may want to come wind down after a long day of work or enjoy some sports with buddies. I go there every sunday myself towatch football. Every sunday there are children in there with parents having a blast. Like I said drinking is a part of our culture it's not something that should be hidden away or topretend that is doesn't exist. Again, it's up to the parent to communicate with their own children on what they may believe is right or wrong. I've never seen anyone in there or comeout of there that is belligerent. It's just not the type of establishment that promotes that type of drinking or behavior. I just don't see an ALL Beverage License becoming a problem with theBozeman Taproom. From an economics standpoint. It only makes sense!! The Taproom purchases most of his beer from Montana. Local citizens spend their money there and the dollar stays in Bozeman! The Taproom will most definitely become a tourism hotspot which then brings out of state dollars into our community! We are the fastest growing city in the country. We have noestablishment of its kind in town. The rest of the "Bar's" here have a bar feel. There dark, they stink, they're not clean! This is quite the opposite at the Taproom! Folks don't go thereto get "drunk" they go there to wind-down and enjoy conversation with friends! I hope you hear & really listen to all parties and do what it best for Bozeman! I believe approving this license is what is best for Bozeman for years to come! Thank you for your timeand consideration!
