Please explain your relevant qualifications, interests and experiences. *: As an academic and a
social scientist, I am well practiced at ensuring that policies and plans meet guidelines and in
thinking and discussing the merits and disadvantages of policy. As a resident of the area I
frequently walk, run, drive and bicycle across the district, crossing North 7th daily via those

various types of transportation. Based on that experience I have an understanding of the current
issues and improvements in the district. In graduate school I lived in Manhattan, New York. This
experience of living in a densely populated urban center that is firmly bound by physical limits
(the rivers and ocean, density of bedrock)allows me to view the densification of Bozeman from a
broad perspective. I believe I am well suited to read and understand guidelines and proposals and
evaluate them based on the needs of the businesses, city, residents, and infrastructure.
