This being the time designated by law (Section 1l-3249), R.C.M., 1947 and Chapter 2.08 of
the Bozeman Municipal Code for the organization of the City Commission in accordance with the
results of the Regular Municipal Election held 7 November 1967, the City Commission met at 10:00
o'clock a.m., January 8, 1968, in the Commission Room, City Hall Building for organization purposes
and the transaction of unfinished business. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow,
Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting,Ass't. City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and
the Clerk.
Commissioner Langohr opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:
Reorganization of City Commission:
This was the time and place set by MOntana Statute for the reorganization of the City Commission
as per the results of the Regular Municipal Election held in 1965 and 1967. Retiring Mayor Edmund
P. Sedivy having concluded all unfinished business to be brought before the Commission at this
time, expressed his appreciation for the support given to him by Commissioners Morrow and Langohr
and commended the Manager's Office and Department Heads and Staffs and also expressed his apprec-
iation for their efforts during his term and then turned the Mayor's gavel over to incoming Mayor
R. Harry Morrow. Commissioner Edmund P. Sedivy and Commissioner Don M. Langohr, Jr. were then
seated as Ci ty Commissioners, having fully qualified for their new four year term.
Mayor Morrow reviewed a summary of the City's outstanding accomplishments obtained under
Mayor Sedivy's leadership and concluded by presenting him with an engraved "Key to the City" as
a token of appreciation for his splendid services during his term as City Commissioner and Mayor.
Mayor Morrow then stated that he expected to continue the progress in any way contributing to
the "Betterment" of Bozeman.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the meeting be adjourned and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Comm-
issioner Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
