Re: Your tenure on the Recreation and Parks Committee
Dear Bob:
On behalf of the citizens of Bozeman, I would like to thank you for your 15
years of service to our community. The Recreation and Parks Advisory Board has
been an important part of City government, and your contribution to the Board has
been outstanding.
Your most recent tenure as Chair of the Board during the last two years has
created a necessary bridge between long time Board members and new members.
We appreciate the experience and gentility that you brought to the position, and I
appreciate that you have modelled good advisory board behavior for all. Of course,
that behavior has been real work coupled with calmness, tenacity and kindness.
During your tenure the City has gone through a lot of changes. The most
significant has been the passage and execution of the Trails Open Space and Parks
Bond. But, we should not forget the PROST plan update and the Aquatics Feasibility
Study. I trust that you will count your participation in these initiatives as some of
your many and significant contributions to the City.
As you know Bozeman could not function nearly as effectively, if not for the
avid participation of its citizenry. You exemplify that level of involvement which is
so important to all of us.
