Commissioner Morrow opened the meeting with a prayer and the fa llowing proceed ings Here had ~ Minutes of the regular session held 25 October, 1967, were read and it: was moved by Commissioner Langoh r, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: Those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Conullissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. Hearin" Resolutio:l No. 1348 - Intention to Create SID No. 485 - Water Mains: ~._.__,c:.l.;.L__.______". ..~"_................-~~-.......---._-- This was the time and place set in Commission Resolution No. 13[j8 to hear protests to the creation of Special Improvement District No. 485, Affidavit of publication of Notice and the Clerk's Mailing Certificate stating that all property owners had been notified as required by la\-l were presented. The City Manager presented written protests filed with the Clerk of the City Commission and signed by owners of property representing 42,796% of the proposed district as determined by the Engineer. Several property owners were present to affirm the written protests to the creation of Special Improvement District No. 1+85. The City Commission having determined the protests to be sufficient, it was moved by Commissioner Morrml, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that under the provisions of Section 11-2205 R.C.M., no further proceedings shall be had under Commission Resolution No. 1%8 and I the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Conmlissioner Morrm-l, Commissioner L8ngohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. ~t.:.0e~;~}~~~Y_~::..._.l2,:~pres~..Q.ting ~'21-Scouts of AmE3rica: Mr. Ernes t Loy, Scout Executive of Yellowstone Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America appeared before the Commiss ion to present to the City of Bozeman a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of use of Bogarts Grove for Cub Scout Dayst Mayor Sedivy expressed the City's appreciation for the Certificate of Appreciation and commended Mr. Loy for the splendid work of the Council. tLi_(~~..r=.._Creel~~~\i~l:cr. Honday U No,,:~~?_S.E..L)'_9.S:...?..~ Notice has been received of the Annual Meeting of the Middle Creek Water Users' Association to be held on Monday, 13 November, 1967, at 2:00 o'clock p.m. at the Gallatin County Court House. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that Ass't City Manager Fryslie be designated as the official representative of the city of Bozeman at this meeting and authorized to vote the stock of the City and the motion was carried by the fo llowing Aye and No va te: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. A,r:r.nual Water and Waste HaterPlan~ Operators and Managers, Bozeman HSU 13-17 Novemher - ~~-~ City Engineer, Disposal Plant Operator, Water Superintendent plus l:wo: I The Annual School for Water and Waste Water Plant Operator and Managers will be held at Montana State University on November 13 through 17, 1967, and in concurrence with the City Manager's recommendation, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, tha t the Ci ty Engineer, Disposal plant Operator, Water Superintendent and two other members of the Water Department be authorized to attend the school on November 13 thru the 17th and the expenses be paid from the water fund and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm- issioner MorroW, Commissioner Langohr and May~r Sedivy; those voting no, none. 108 Re~~_on __(Lov~rno~cs_ Con~erence___9_n_ Occul'_~_~~<:)~~} SiOl}e ty: The City Manager reported on his attendance at the Montana Governor's Conference on Occup- ational Safety held in Helena 28-29 September. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow. that the City Manager be commended on a very thorough report and the motion was carried b. y .th. e following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Comm- I issioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. Claims for Dc tober: Claim No's. 10484 thru 10636 inclusive were presented on various funds as follows: General $21,026.35 Cemetery $ 2,156.50 Street 6,395.15 Band 20.00 Water 9,704.29 Garbage 13,632.18 S.D.S. 3,492.65 Parking Meter 869.60 Library 1,859.50 Police Reserve 1,709.70 Planning Board 50.00 SID's 14,899.17 Park 3,115.70 Total $78,930.79 The City Manager commented on the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims against the City of Bozeman and recommended they be approved and the Director of Finance be directed to issue warrants in payment.
