HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-07-16 Public Comment - K. Bryan - Black OliveDear City Commissioners and City Planning Department Personnel, Thank you for taking the time to discuss the codes and the inter-relationship between the various parts of the code and plans. It was time well spent. This past Monday's commission meeting - with much emphasis on "development transitions" -- was also very informative. Kudos to the planning staff (Chris Saunders and Tom Rogers) for their presentations over the past 2 weeks. We appreciate that the City Commission understands the importance of such discussion and education and has made it a priority. These codes (some of which are in need of "clarification") will have a HUGE impact on the future of Bozeman - especially as it relates to transition zones around the B-3 border with the neighborhoods. REQUEST: In light of the continued UDC discussion and potential areas of clarification, we respectfully requests that any further review of the Holloran Black/Olive "new" building design wait until after the New Year. In addition, it will be valuable to educate/engage many neighborhoods in the process/discussion for the best possible outcome for Bozeman. This takes time and we are actively helping with that engagement so that more people in the public (with many perspectives) can weigh in. Of course, the holidays somewhat hinder this process of public engagement. So, please continue to consider the community and the gravity of this situation as you schedule the review of Holloran's "revised" Black-Olive building proposal review. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Kate Bryan 210 S. Black
