All Beverage License. There are already a dozen establishments serving alcohol within a block of
the school and there has been no harm to date and due to the Taproom's support of a family
atmosphere I don't feel that the addition of spirits will have any negative impact on the neighborhood.
The owner, Eric, has several times communicated to me how happy he is that his crowd is mature,
in the sense that there aren't a bunch of 20-somethings coming in simply to get really drunk, rather
they come to sit and enjoy a drink and food while watching a game or sampling some of his wide
array of offerings. If The Taproom were to be able to have an All Beverage License, I am sure it
would be similar in the sense that they would have nice mixed drink options, rather than a place for
people to load up on shots of straight liquor. I believe that may be the root of the concern for some
people opposed to the Taproom getting this license.
