Wishman - Bozeman TaproomTo Whom It May Concern: I'm writing to show my support for a YES vote by the City allowing the Bozeman Taproom to have an All Beverage License. I am under the impression that there has been opposition for this transition by those that have children who attend Hawthorne Elementary. As a mother of two small children, I cannot understand why this would impact the children who attend this school or any children in the Bozeman community for that matter. Yes, the taproom is within close proximity to the school, however, there are multiple other establishments that provide similar services that are also within close proximity. The Bozeman Taproom is a small, family oriented business that is providing a service to the Bozeman Community that, in my opinion, is not offered at any other establishment. They cater to a consumer that is not looking for a typical bar experience, but would like to have a happy hour beer or cocktail with coworkers after a long day or a place to take their family for lunch on a weekend and enjoy a football game on one of the many available TVs. This establishment does not draw a wild crazy crowd that other bars in Bozeman may attract. To my understanding, they intend to keep it that way and still offer a relaxed environment for individuals or families to gather with friends and enjoy an adult beverage. The expansion from a beer and wine license to an all beverage license will simply allow them to offer more variety to their customers, the Bozeman community. This will in no way impact the students or parents of Hawthorn Elementary, unless, however, they would like to enjoy a pleasant experience with family friendly service. I plan to continue to be a patron of the Bozeman Taproom and enjoy all they have to offer. Thank you for your time, Ashley Wishman
