Message: As I listened during the 12/5 meeting, facilitating growth was mentioned. To me that means
making it easier. While I don't wish to make growth difficult, I encourage the commission to move
forward ethically and responsibly in addressing all growth. Also mentioned was the necessity of
addressing parking on 11th eventually. The issue of parking and traffic within city limits needs to be
addressed now; we don't have several years to think about it. Another point made was the
traffic/parking plan was developed for the benefit of community members not potential developers. I
hope that would be true within the city as well. If a city the size of Whitefish can take a step back and
place a moratorium on buildings over 35ft high, I would hope that Bozeman could take that step too in
an effort to grow responsibly.
