Phone Number: (406) 585-7909 Message: Honorable Bozeman Commissioners, I would like to write in support of higher urban
density and the use of ADU's as well as taller buildings within the City. This is a much bigger
issue than keeping neighborhoods small, the effects of Climate Change and all it brings with it
should be a driver to reduce emissions from vehicles, increase City service efficiency and reduce sprawl. Some believe that restricting building heights and types will keep neighborhoods the same and keep property taxes low. Restrictions on growth of this type not only raise the prices of
existing homes, it increases taxes because proximity will be everything in the Climate Change
battle. All of this will force more people with lower incomes to leave, especially those that don't
want higher density. Smart Growth we need is infill. We must ALL work to enable the people who want to live here to do so as well as the people who've moved here before as we adapt to Climate Change and technologies. Thank you
