Bozeman City Commissioners;
I'm appalled that you are even considering granting a liquor license to the Taproom Bar!And why were the owners of this establishment even granted a beer and wine license? Isn't
there an ordinance that prohibits a bar closer than 600 feet from a church or school? That Bar is right across the street from elementary children--within 100 feet! With its
open windows facing the open windows of the school, what example are we setting for thesechildren?
A further concern is that Rouse is a busy street anyway. Drivers who imbibe may not befully alert--there are children crossing the street at those intersections. We need to protect
them in every way possible. Allowing a Bar that close seems very unwise. Please refuse the liquor license -- and even consider revoking the beer and wine license.
