Wing - Bozeman TaproomFrom:Lauren Wing To:Agenda; trustees@bds7.org Cc:Ryan Dee; Lauren Dee; Veronica Wing Subject:Taproom Date:Friday, December 02, 2016 11:22:20 PM To Whom It May Concern: As a lifelong resident of Bozeman, a student at Hawthorne School (in the 80s and 90s), and now amother of Hawthorne School students, I am extremely concerned with not only the impact that a liquor serving bar will have on an elementary school it is so close to, but the precedent in whichyou will be setting! When I drop my children off at school each day, I am entrusting that they are in a safe learning environment, and that those making decisions on behalf of their well-being arekeeping their young, impressionable minds in the forefront! As a taproom, I have already heard complaints about the distractions caused for those classrooms on the west side of HawthorneSchool! The proximity and blaring view of taproom patrons are major concerns, and should be seriously considered when taking the time to even entertain the notion that the Taproom could orshould receive a conditional use liquor permit! Bozeman: a top community to raise your children. Bozeman: a city with an outstanding school system. Bozeman: a town known for healthy livingand active lifestyles. Bozeman is a place where people dream of raising their children! It is a community that boasts the importance of family and family values! Please take the time to putyourselves in the shoes of the teachers, the conversations that could be started, the questions asked, and the unnecessary exposure, interruption, and overall precedent you are setting...beforemaking such an impactual decision!!! We are better than this, Bozeman! There is NO need to have a bar across from an elementary school!!!Sincerely, Lauren Dee
