Subject:Keep Hawthorne School a Safe Environment

Dear City Commissioners and the School Board Trustees,
I've recently learned of the Taproom's application for a conditional use permit for a full liquor license, which would
allow the establishment to serve hard alcohol. As a parent of a child attending Hawthorne school I am concerned
about the impact of a bar located directly across the street from the entrance of our school. While this establishment
currently serves beer and wine to its patrons during school hours I feel the addition of hard alcohol would
significantly contribute to a unsafe environment for the children and community of Hawthorne School. I expect the
Bozeman School District and the CIty Commissioners to provide a safe learning environment for my child.
Allowing a bar to be located so close to a school where our children can look out their classroom windows and view
or possibly encounter a intoxicated patron if they are in the front courtyard of our school is unacceptable.
Please deny the Taproom's request to the City of Bozeman for a conditional use permit for a full beverage license.
