HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-29-16 Public Comment - J. Evans - Bozeman TaproomDear City Commissioners and School Board Trustees,
As the parent of a child attending Hawthorne school, I am concerned about the impact of a bar serving
hard alcohol during school hours across the street from my child's school. I expect the Bozeman School
District and City Commissioners to provide a safe learning environment for my child. Allowing a bar to serve
hard alcohol during school hours within 100 feet and highly visible from classroom windows is unacceptable.
Please deny the Taproom's request to the City for a conditional use permit for a full beverage
license. Granting such a permit clearly is not in the best interest of the children or the Bozeman community.
There is a law that clearly states an establishment can not serve alcohol within 600 feet of a school or church.
Considering they managed to find a loop hole for beer and wine they should at least not be aloud to be open
during school hours, especially with the rooftop looking directly over our children.
Thank you for your time,
Jen Evans
