I am a parent of a Hawthorne student and I live about a block away from Hawthorne school. Please
reject the Taproom's permit for a full liquor license. Throughout the day and particularly between 3:15
and 5:00, there are young children riding bikes, crossing streets, running to parents' cars etc. on Rouse
and Mendenhall. . The Hawthorne district, as you may know, stretches from the downtown area all the
way up Bridger Canyon and all the way out to Sypes Canyon. Consequently, a lot of parents must drive
to pick up their children from school. This creates a traffic mess.
I am very concerned about impaired drivers leaving a bar as my children are crossing the street to
return home.
