Hello,
In September the MSU LRES senior capstone class focused
their semester efforts on Story Mill. The class met with several
Story Mill stakeholders from the City of Bozeman and Mt-
DEQ as well as local conservation community to hear their
questions about Story Mill wetland restoration, the park
development, and the City’s larger stormwater concerns. The
class has spent the remainder of the semester conducting
literature searches, GIS models, and developing
methodological suggestion. The class focused on the wetland
and riparian capacity to capture sediment and cycle nutrients,
opportunities to reduce pollutant sources through green
infrastructure, and other ecological enhancements that could be
implemented in the upcoming park development. They will be
presenting their finding back to the Stakeholders and the
general public on November 30th at 1:00-2:00 in the large
meeting room of the Bozeman Public Library. I encourage you
