Re: Downtown Revitalization Master Plan and Financial Assistance
Commissioner Pomeroy,
While driving through downtown Bozeman last week, it was noticed that the downtown
corridor's(Main Street from Grand Avenue to Church Avenue) infrastructure systems are starting to
show their age and deterioration. We, at Revitalization Writing Services(RWS),are a small planning firm
specializing in downtown revitalization and economic development projects, and have recently
expanded into Bozeman with our partners (Bockholt Landscape Architecture). As a new business in
town, specializing in Downtown Revitalization Projects,we are reaching out to the City of Bozeman to
see if there may be interest in further discussions about a downtown revitalization project.
Within the Western United States, the downtown business districts and corridors of regional
communities, such as Bozeman, serve as the lifeblood and gathering points for locals and tourists alike.
As part of this attraction and programmed use, it is vital for the community to have a revitalized corridor
for the increased economic prosperity of the community. This is where RWS can assist the City of
Bozeman with comprehensive downtown revitalization planning assistance including;existing conditions
analysis, master planning of enhancements, identification/acquisition of grant funding to pay for
enhancements construction and final engineering/design. By undertaking a downtown revitalization
project(coupled with additional gateway projects currently underway),the City of Bozeman will be
better positioned to capture a larger share of regional users and tourists with expanded dining,
entertainment and retail opportunities.
If the City of Bozeman were interested, it would be appreciated to have a discussion with the
elected officials and community development personnel to discuss the potential for the City Bozeman. If
there is a date/time that would be convenient for everyone, please let us know at your earliest
convenience.Thank you and we look forward to potentially working together in the near future.
