Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the fol1.owin~: proceedings !.vere had: Hinutes of the regular meeting held 19 March 1972 were approved as read. Dtlmp Truck for use by the Street Department that were opened and read at the previous meeting, the Acting City Manager con- curring wi th the S tree t Superin tenden t and the Ci ty Engineer, recommended tha t the purchase be mvarded to Rolfe and Hood, Inc., Bozeman, in the amount of $7,058.64 with the nutornat:i.c transmission, it being the lowest bid received and equaling or exceeding the specific~tions as contained in the "call for Bids." It was moved by Commissioner Vollmer, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the award be made to Rolfe & Wood, in the amount of $7,058.64 and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vandeventer and Mayor Grabow; those voting No, none. :~U cation for JZenn~:..:!....1}cen~. Eversman, 1110 South Bozeman, requesting a kennel license i.n accordance with Ordinance No. 857, Section 5.l6.01+0 of the Bozeman Hunicipal Code, together with the required fee was presented. The Acting City Manager and the Chief of Police stated they were not aware of any reason to deny the kennel license and it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissi.oner Lehrkind, that the above application be approved and the Director of Finance be in- structed and directed to issue a license in accordance therewith. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Lehrkind, Comm- issioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Vollmer and Mayor Grabow; those voting No, none. Langohr granted unto the City of Bozeman the 60' in width parcel of land located in the NWlt; of Section l8, Township 2 South, Range 6 East, M.P.M., County 6f Gallatin, State of Montana, for the purpose of a public road for the use of the public for- ever was presented. Following a discussion, it was moved by Commissioner Lehrkind, seconded by COt:iUlissioner Vnnde- venter, that the corrected W.Hranty Deed be accepted and filed. Mayor Grabmv expressed his apprec- iation in behalf of the City Commission to Langohrs for their dedication of this parcel of land for public use. L. Stratford & Compsny., Inc., requesting permission to connect at their own expense a2" water service to the rew water line of the City of Bozeman being installed on U.S. High- way No. 19l to serve the new Mountain States Telephone garage storeroom was presented. Following a discussion, it was moved by Commissioner Vollmer, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the request to connect to the City of Bozeman Water system on U.S. Highway No. 19l be approved and the Acting City Attorney be instructed to draw up a "Utility Tie-On Agreement" to be signed by R. L. Stratford & Co., Inc., waiving protest of Annexation and also waive protest to any future watermain and sani.tary sewer districts to serve their property. The motion was carried by the follow- ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Lehrkind and Mayor Grabow; those voting No, none. Re'D~(:.:~~~___!:.o In_~_t:.~I)__13l~J1ers at Kirk Park - Lions Club: A request from the Bozeman Lions Club for permission to purchase and install aluminum bleachers 242 at the Babe Ruth Fields in Kirk Park was presented. Following a discussion, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind, that the Bozeman Lions Club be granted permission to purchase and install the five-row aluminum bleachers at the cost of approximately $300.00 each at the Babe Ruth Field in Kirk Park and that a letter be addressed to the Bozeman Lions Club commending them for their continued efforts of pro- moting thie aspect of recreation in Bozeman. Bond ~ Mr. Bernard T. Tierney, Fi.nancial Advisor of Tierney & Company, Denver, Colorado and Mr. James D. Rivenes representing E. F. Hutton & Company, Boulder, Colorado and Hr. Ken Dawkins of the Hinneapolis firm of Dain, Kalman & Quail appeared before the Commission to present their proposals to refinance the Sani tary Set~er Revenue Bonds dated 1 July 1969. Hr. Phil Sandquist of the Security Bank & Trust Company and Mr. John Reichel of the First National Bank were also present to discuss the proposals and ask questions regarding the refinancing of the bonds. Following an extensive discussi.on, it was moved by Commissioner Lehrkind, seconded by Commissi.oner Vandeventer, that a recess be declared for the purpose of the representatives calling their respective companies in regard to the proposal. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Lehkind, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Vollmer, Commi.ssioner Sedivy and Mayor Grabow; those voting No, none. It was moved by Commissioner Vand- venter, seconded by Commissioner Vollmer, that a special meeting be called for 9:00 A.M. on Monday, 27 March 1972, at which time the Brokerage firms of Dain Kalman & Quail, Inc., of Ninneapolis and E. F. Hutton Company will present their respective proposals or joint proposal concerning the re- financing of the 19(,9 Sewerage Revenue Bonds. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vendeventer. Following a discussion, it ~vas moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconcled by Commissioner Lehrkind, that a letter be addressed to Captain Donnan extending the app- reciation of the City Commission and commending him for his excellent service to the City of Bozeman during the past twenty years and to express their gratitude for his decision to remain on the Police force. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Vollmer and Mayor Grabow; those voting No, none.
