It has been brought to the attention of the Hawthorne Elementary Parent Advisory Counsel that
the Bozeman Taproom and Fill Station, located on the corner of Mendenhall and Rouse, across
the street from Hawthorne Elementary, has recently requested a modification of their
Conditional Use Permit. The modification requested would allow for the serving of hard alcohol
in addition to their current selection of beer and wine, beginning at 11:00 am.
The Hawthorne PAC has fielded concerns from the parent community as to whether it is an
appropriate and community-minded decision to allow an establishment so near to, and in clear
and open view of students (via the rooftop bar and sidewalk seating), to serve alcohol during
school hours.

We urge the City Commission to listen to the comments and concerns of the Hawthorne
community this evening as you consider modification to the Conditional Use Permit for the
Taproom.
