Dear Bozeman City Officials,
As the grandparent of children attending Hawthorn Elementary School I find the presence of a new bar
directly across the street a disgrace. The city clearly did not have the children in mind when approving the
bar. And now we are at risk of the city taking one bad decision and inflating it to an even worse one with the
potential of a hard alcohol license. I encourage the city to look into mitigation measures. For
example, any alcohol should not be served during school hours. I encourage the city to be a group
of decision-makers that hold our children’s interests above all else when “interpreting”
the law.
