Wright - Bozeman TaproomFrom:kate wright To:Agenda Subject:comment: Bozeman Taproom & Fill Station application Date:Monday, November 14, 2016 12:57:19 PM Dear Bozeman City Commissioners, I understand that tonight you will review an application from Bozeman Taproom & FillStation to expand it's liquor license. It is mind-boggling to consider that this establishment was approved for a beer & wine license in the first place, given its immediate proximity to a K-5 school. To think that the licensecould be expanded to include hard liquor at this location is absolutely absurd, shameful and ridiculous. While I gather that the present situation is "water under the bridge", I strongly recommend youdo not make the situation worse. Please deny their application to expand the liquor license at this location to include hard alcohol. I have visited Bozeman Taproom & Fill Station and enjoyed my experience (on a Saturdaynight). None-the-less, I would prefer that the establishment move it's liquor-focused business elsewhere. Why not shift this location to a business model not dependent on alcohol? A barwhere patrons can watch school children, a bar that is a significant part of the view out of classroom windows, a bar with a significant presence directly across the street from anelementary school, should not be part of Bozeman's landscape. It is not just the parents of Hawthorn students who find this situation disturbing. Thank you for taking this seriously, and for your service to our community.
