Dear Commissioners and City planners,
I am writing this note since I will not be able to personally comment tonight on the above
issue. I wholeheartedly subscribe to Julie Klein's (circulated via North East NeighborhoodAssociation) written comments to you regarding this bar across the street from Hawthorne
School.
I've been thinking about the location of this bar myself, and apart from it being across from anelementary school, I have also wondered why we are ending up with such a density of bars on
this end of our downtown. I surely have started taking a detour to my home to avoid thissection of East Main. Have the City leaders planned this intentionally so or did it just sort of
happen......?
I am very uncomfortable with this situation for above reasons. Thank you for your seriousconsideration of this issue.
