HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-11-05 1-94 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION Bozeman, Montana 5 Novl'mber 1971 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in special session pursuant to the provisions of Section 11-3249, R.C.M., 1947, and Section 2.08.060, Bozeman Municipal Code at the office of the County Commission in the Gallatin County Courthouse on Friday,S November 1971, at 8:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Mayor Langohr, Commissioner Grabow, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Sedivy, City Manager Fryslie and the Clerk. Canvass Vote of General Election: The purpose of the special meeting was to canvass the vote of the General Election held on the 2nd day of November 1971, for Two City Commissioners. Tabulation of E1~ction Returns: Under the provisions of Section 11-718, R.C.M., 1947, and this being the first legal day after the Clerk of the City Commission had received the returns of the General Election held 2 November 1971, the Clerk of the City Commission aided by the City Commission proceeded to canvass the returns. '" o -.J It was moved by Commissioner Grabow, seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind, that Edmund P. Sedivy and Milt Vandeventer be declared elected Commissioners for a four year term, beginning 3 January 1972. and that the Clerk of the City Commission be instructed to issue a certificate of election to each person elected and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm- issioner Grabow, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor ~angohr, those voting No, none.
