THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this 20th day of A„,,,,r , 1981, by
and between THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, a municipal corporation of the State of
Montana, hereinafter referred to as "City;" and STORY MILL FIRE DISTRICT,
a duly organized and active fire district within Gallatin County, Montana, here-
inafter referred to as "District;"
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City has the personnel and equipment to extend fire
protection to the District; and
WHEREAS, the District desires to employ, for a fee, City personnel
and equipment to provide emergency fire protection within the District.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and con-
ditions contained herein and upon .the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the
City hereby agrees to provide fire protection to all property located within the
STORY MILL FIRE DISTRICT.
1. That as payment for said services, the District shall assess and
cause to be transferred to the City of Bozeman the requisite sums of money
collected and disbursed as mutually agreed by the parties hereto. The millage
rate shall be 10% greater than that which is applied to all properties located
within the City of Bozeman for fire protection services.
For this agreement period, the millage rate shall be 28.45 of the taxable
value of all property located within said District.
2. This agreement period shall commence on July 1, 1981, and shall
terminate on June 30, 1982. This Agreement may be renewed at the end of the
agreement period only. At the beginning of each new agreement period, the
millage rate may be adjusted to reflect any increase or decrease in the City's
millage for.£ire protection.
3. The District shall notify the City Fire Chief immediately when the
boundaries of the District have been changed or expanded. Said notification

must be in writing. The City will not be responsible for the extension of any
additional services to any new areas not within the present boundaries unless so
notified pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.
4. For this agreement period, the City agrees to bear the costs of
the election of the Story Mill Fire District Trustees, which costs shall not ex-
ceed $100.00.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunder set their
