MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION
19 July 1971
The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in Special session pursuant to call by the City
Manager in the Commission Room, Municipal Building, 19 July 1971, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. Present
were Mayor Langohr, Commissioner Grabow, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vollmer, Commiss-
ioner Sedivy, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes and the Clerk.
Review Preliminary Planning for Budget for Fiscal Year:
The City Manager explained that this Special meeting was called to review the preliminary
planning for the budget for the fiscal year ending 30 June 1972.
A general discussion was had of basic policies for the overall operation of the City
Governmen t .
Mr. Virgil L. Buettner of the Bozeman Teamsters, Chauffers, Warehousemen and Helpers -
Local 53 attended the meeting and advised the Commission that they have requested an increase of
thirty-five (35) cents per hour for the maintenance crew, holidays, time and one-half, longivity,
seniority, and a written contrac~ and that the proposed items become effective 1 July 1971.
Following a discussion, the City Manager advised Mr. Buettner, that the request would be
taken under advisement.
Proposed Budget:
An informal discussion was held on the proposed budget and the City Manager pointed out
some of the salient features of the budget.
Adiournment:
There being no further business to come before the Special meeting, it was moved by
Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Grabow, that
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those vo
Commissioner Grabow, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Voll
voting No, none.
