Hello Planning Department and City Commissioners,
Writing in concern over the size and lack of parking for the Black-Olive Apartment project. We live on South Bozeman Ave and the parking is already at a premium with the downtown
workers parking on our street during the day, not to mention we have many rentals on ourstreet with all of their cars. The rental across the street from us is a 3 bedroom house and has
at least 4 cars parked outside at any given time. Can not imagine where all the cars will parkfor the apartments.
I am also concerned over the height of the building, towering over the adjacent historicalhouses. I believe he should have to build a building that fits in with the surrounding
architecture.When we remodeled our house it had to be in the same footprint and could not exceed a
certain height, which I think is good to have those policies in place so the houses fit in. Ithink the zoning laws for the business district, especially the downtown area where it is right
next to residential neighborhoods need to be changed to protect this kind of thing fromhappening in the future. More strict rules on height and scale of the buildings owners can
build. We need to preserve the character of the downtown!
