HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-12-02 63 Bozeman, Montana 2 December 1970 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, Municipal Building, 2 December 1970, at 1:00 o~clock p.m. Present were Mayor Langohr, Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Elect Grabow, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. I Mayor Langohr opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had: Minutes of the regular meeting held 25 November 1970 were approved as read. License Bonds - George Norman, Plumbing and Electrical: In Compliance with Chapter 15 and 16 of the Bozeman Municipal Code, the certificate for plumb- ing and electrical bonds of the George Norman, Belgrade were presented. The City Manager stated the Building Inspector had recommended the approval of the bonds and the City Attorney had approved the bond as to form. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the aforementioned bonds be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow, Mayor Langohr and those voting No, none. Commission Rexolution No. 1447 - Intention to Vacate Portion of Alley North 165 Feet, Block 2, Durstons Second Subdivision: COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1447 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF TIlE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF SAID COMMISSION TO VACATE THE NORTH 165 FEET OF THE DEDICATED ALLEY IN BLOCK 2 OF DURSTON'S SE- COND SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA. prepared by the City Attorney as directed by the Commission was presented. In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that Resolution No. 1447 be passed and adopted and 30 December 1970 be set as the date for public hearing and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohr; I those voting No, none. Request to Conduct Cake Sale - United Commercial Travelers for Retarded Childrens fund: A letter received from the United Commercial Travelers of America requesting permission to conduct a fruit cake sale during the month of December in the City of Bozeman was presented. The proceeds from the sale of these cakes to go to the retarded children and youth activity fund for Gallatin County. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that authorization to hold the fruit cake sale be granted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: Those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none. Ref'orts: The following reports were presented: Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator Building Inspector , Fluorida tion Police Judge Fire Chief The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commiss- ioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivyand Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
