17 June 1970
The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room. Municipal
Building, 17 June 1970 at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Langohr, Commissioner Morrow, Comm-
issioner Sedivy. City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
I Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:
The minutes of the regular session held 10 June 1970 were read and it was moved by Commissioner
Morrow. seconded by Mayor LanSOhr, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No Vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr;
those voting No, none.
License Bond - plumber and Gas Fitter, Bingham Mechanical:
In compliance with Chapter 16 of the Bozeman Municipal Code, the plumber and gas fitter bond
of the Bingham Mechanical & Metal Products. Inc., was presented. The City Manager stated the
Building Inspector had recommended the approval of the bonds and the City Attorney had approved
the bonds as to form. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy. seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that
the bonds be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and NO vote: those voting
Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No. none.
Request to Install Utility Poles - Community Television:
Mr. Douglas Woirhaye of the Bozeman Community Television was present to request permission to
install additional utility poles throughout the city. Following a thorough discussion, the Comm-
ission concurred with the recommendation of the City Manager and it was moved by Commissioner
Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that they table the request to install tbe additional
poles until further study can be completed by the City Attorney as well as the Bozeman Community
Television, Inc. The motion was carried by the following Aye and Movote: those voting Aye being
Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
Authority to Attend P.O.S.T. Meeting - Chief Cutting & Sgt. Smiley, 18 June, 1970, Billings:
I The Police Officers Special Training Committee have scheduled a meeting to be held in Billings,
18 June 1970 and the Chief of Polic~ requested authority for he and Sergeant Earl Smiley to attend
this meeting. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the
authority to attend the meet be granted and, it being in the public interest their expenses be paid
from the General Fund and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
Designation of Pilot Alley Improvement Project:
A discussion was held in regard to the improvement of three blocks of alley between Tenth and
Eleventh Avenue, Beall Street and Durston Road. This is to be designated as a 'ilot Alley Improve-
ment Project to be paid from House Bill No. 436 Gas Tax Funds allocated to the City of Bozeman.
In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Mana8er it was moved by Commissioner Morrow.
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that authority be granted to implement the Pilot Alley Improvement
Program and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm-
issioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. I twas mayed by
I Commissioner Sedivy. seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the reports be approved and ordered
filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commiss-
ioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Ulngohr; those voting No, none.

Mayor Langohr announced his appointment or reappointment to various City Boards as follows:

It was moved by Commissioner MOrrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the Commission
concur in the appointments and reappointments of the Mayor and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner MOrrow, Commissioner Sedivy and
Mayor Langohr; thOle voting No, none.
Adjournment:
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the meeting be adjourned and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting being CommiSSioner Morrow, Commiss-
ioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
