The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission ROom, Municipal
Building, 10 June 1970, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Langohr, Commissioner Morrow,
Acting City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
I Commission Morrow opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings vere had:
Minutes of the regular session held 3 June 1970 were read and it was moved by COmmissioner
Morrow, seconded by Mayor Langohr, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion vas carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr;
~hose voting No, none.
Change of Dump Regulations - No Car Bodies or Large Metal Objects effective 15 June 1970:
Upon recommendation of the Acting City Manager, it was moved by Mayor Langohr, seconded by
Commissioner Morrow, that effective Monday, 15 June 1970, there will be no more car bodies, refri-
gerators, freezers or other large metal objects accepted at the Bozeman Sanitary Landfill due to
the fact that the Gallatin Auto Disposal plant owned and operated by Jim Gordon will be available
for the purpose of disposing of all large metal objects. The above rule will remain in effect as
long as there is an acceptable method of disposal. The motion was carried by the following Aye
and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
Proclamation, "Woman's Week" 15-19 June 1970:
The Mayor issued a proclamation designating the week of 15-19 June 1970 as "WOUIAn' s Week"
and ursed all citizens to pay special attention during this week in recognizing this educational
event being held on the Montana State University campus under the sponsorship of the Montana Coop-
erative extension S~rvice for all WOMen of all ages from all counties to increase their knowledge.
It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Mayor Langohr, that the proclamation as requested
be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those'voting No, none.
I Request to Vend at Swimming Pool Area - Dahl Wagon: During Break:
A letter received from Mrs. Ronald Dahl requesting permission to park the Dahl Wagon in the
parking area near the swimming pool during the season once a day during the break for approximately
one-half to one hour to serve the children at the pool was presented.
Following a discussion, it was moved by Mayor Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that
due to the hazards of having the children cross the street, permission be granted to park the Dahl
Wagon in the Swimming Pool parking area once a day during the break for approximately one-half to
one-hour to serve the children at the pool and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.

The Acting City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It was moved
by Commissioner Morrow. seconded by Mayor Langohr, that the reports be approved and ordered filed
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
Claims:
Claim No's. 7582 thru 7878 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows:

The Acting City Manager commented on the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims
against the City of Bozeman and recommended they be approved and the Director of Finance be dir-
ected to issue warrants in payment. After examination of the claims and checking against the Claim
register, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Mayor Langohr, that the claims be approved

and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
MOrrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
Congressional Record ~ Chief of Police C. R. Cutting:
It was moved by Commissioner MOrrow, seconded by Mayor Langohr, that Chief of Police C. R.
Cutting be highly commended on the recognition he received on the very fine article written by I
him that appeared in the June 1970 FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin and the U. S. Congressional Record
a.d the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
Adjournment:
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Mayor Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the meeting be adjourned and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Langohr and Commissioner
Morrow; those voting No, none.
