HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-11-10 3 () 'J. ;-J {..,; Bozeman, Hontana 10 Novembflr 1975 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in special session in the Commission Room, Municipal Building, Monday, 10 November 1975, pursuant to the provisions of Section 11-718, 11-2312 and 11-3207, R.C.M., 1947. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Lehrkind, City Manager Fryslie and Acting Clerk. Absence of Commissioner Taylor Upon recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Vandeventer, seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind, that the absence of Commissioner Taylor be authorized in compliance with Section 11-3245, R.C.M., 1947, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Lehrkind, r.omntissioner Vollmer, and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. S;anvassing_Vote_~~of Hunicipal Election The purpose of the special meeting was to canvass the votes of the City of Bozeman election held on Tuesday, 4 November 1975, in accordance with Sections 11-718, 11-2312 and 11-3207 of the R.C.M., 1947. Tabulation of Election Returns Under the provisions of Section 11-718, Section 11-2312 and Section 11-3207, R.C .M., 1947, the City Commission assisted by the Acting Clerk of the Commission proceeded to canvass the returns. The Canvass showed that a total of 2,896 electors voted representing 27 percent of the qualified electors. Sedivy, Sr., having received the largest number of votes be designated as Mayor, and that the Clerk of the Commission be instructed and directed to issue a certificate of election to each person elected, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vandeventer, and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
