Message: I hope you will not walk away again from your long time downtown neighborhoods by
approving the Black and Olive project. The fact that your project approval department finds it in
compliance with current (i.e. recently gutted) building standards should be an indication to you
of how out of touch with you constituents you've become. Your embrace of density at the
expense of quality of life has done nothing to slow down the destruction by developers of the
county; nor has it improved the housing situation for persons of modest means in Bozeman. It
has, however, done a great deal to destroy the character of our city and the peaceful enjoyment of
current property owners of their homes and neighborhoods. On the other hand, thank you for
demanding compliance from Winco; I don't think we will suffer a moment from their absence.
