Brian,
My name is Nick Bridges I am the owner (via Bozeman Apartments I, LLC) of The Blackmore
Apartments, a 33-unit apartment building at 120 South Black Ave.
I am firmly in support of the Black Olive development as currently proposed.
When The Blackmore was built in 1913, the community was skeptical of big-city living coming
to Bozeman. In fact, these sentiments are documented in some of the literature and press-
clippings attached to our file in the National Register of Historic Places. Well, the last 100 years
has proven those skeptics wrong - many hundreds of residents have enjoyed living in our
building and now it is a cherished part of the community.
I expect history will repeat itself with The Black Olive. And I think it will be fitting that, at least
for a period, the oldest and newest apartment buildings in the City of Bozeman will be across the
street from one another. I'm excited about it.
