The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room. Municipal
Building. 8 January 1975, at 1:15 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner Vollmer,
Commissioner Vandeventer. Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind, City Manager Fryslie, City
Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
Commissioner Vollmer opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on Tuesday, 31 December 1974, were approved as read.
Applications to Renew Kennel Licenses: Mrs. Ralph Kenck, 1317 West Alderson
Mr. Alfred S. D~Voe, 506 No. Rouse
An application received from Mrs. Ralph Kenck, 1317 West Alderson Street, and an application
received from Mr. Alfred S. DeVoe. 506 North Rouse Avenue. requesting a kennel license in accordance
with Ordinance No. 857, Section 5.16.040 of the Bozeman Municipal Code, together with the required
fee were presented. The City Manager and the Chief of Police stated they were not aware of any reason
to deny the above kennel licenses.
It was moved by Commissioner Vollmer. seconded by Commissioner Vandeventer. that the above
applications be approved and the Director of Finance be instructed to issue a license to Mrs. Ralph
Kenck and to Mr. Alfred S. DeVoe in accordance therewith. The motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner
Taylor. Commissioner Lehrkind and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
proclamations: Pride in America Membership Month (Bozeman Jaycees)
World Religion Day - 19 January 1975
In accordance with the Bozeman Jaycees, Mayor Sedivy proclaimed the month of January 1975 as
"Pride in America Membership Month", urging all citizens of the community to give full regard to
the past services of the Bozeman Jaycees. It was moved by Commissioner Vandeventer. seconded by
Commissioner Taylor. that they endorse the Mayor's proclamation in accordance with the Bozeman
Jaycees, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm-
issioner Vandeventer. Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind. Commissioner Vollmer and Mayor
Sedivy; those voting No. none.
Mayor Sedivy proclaimed Sunday, 19 January 1975, as "World Religion Day" in accordance with the
Bozeman Chapter of the Baha1 faith. It was moved by Commissioner Taylor. seconded by Commissioner
Lehrkind. that they endorse the Mayor's proclamation as presented, and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind. Comm-
issioner Vollmer, Commissioner Vandeventer and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Beer License - Fanily Tree Inn
The City Manager presented the application from the Family Tree Inn for a Beer license, along
with the appropriate fee, for the Calendar Year 1975.
Upon recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Lehrkind. seconded by
Commissioner Vollmer, that the Beer License be approved as presented. and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Lehrkind. Commissioner Voll-
mer, Commissioner Vandeventer. Commissioner Taylor and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the above reports and recommended approval thereof. It was moved
by Commi.ssioner Vollmer, seconded by Commissioner Vandeventer. that the reports be approved and
ordered filed, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being,
Commissioner Vollmer. Commissioner Vamdeventer. Commissioner Taylor. Commi.ssioner Lehrkind and
Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

The City Manager had checked the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims against
the City of Bozeman and recommended they be approved and the Director of Finance be instructed
to issue warrants in payment.
It was moved by Commissioner Vandeventer. seconded by Commissioner Taylor. that the claims
be approved as presented. and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Taylor. Commissioner Lehrkind. Commissioner
Vollmer and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No. none.
Reappointment: Luther Reel - Board of Adjustment
Mayor Sedivy announced his reappointment of Luther Reel to the Board of Adjustment through
31 December 1977. It was moved by Commissioner Taylor, seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind. that
they concur in Mayor Sedivy's reappointment. and the motion was carried by the following Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Taylor. Commissioner Lehrkind. Commissioner Vollmer.
Commissioner Vandeventer and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No. none.
Adjournment
There beirg no further business to come before this Commission. it was moved by Commissioner
Lehrkind. seconded by Commissioner Vollmer. that the meeting be adjourned and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Commissioner Lehrkind. Commissioner Vollmer.
Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Taylor and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No. none.
