As a resident of downtown, 705 S Tracy Ave, I oppose the construction of Mr. Hollaran's Black-Olive
apartments. The current building design presented is not an appropriate scale to border a residential
neighborhood. The City should only allow buildings of that size to be built in the current corridor of
large commercial buildings, such as limiting to the streets of Babcock and Mendenhall.
With consideration of parking and traffic flow, Olive and Black Street are small residential areas which
will be negatively impacted by increased number of cars. The construction of such a large building will
decrease the value of neighborhood homes adjacent to the building.
I am not opposed to multi-use buildings in the downtown area, but one such as Hollaran's at the large
size proposed does not fit into the historic downtown neighborhood aestetic and will have negative
impact on traffic flow and parking. It will not blend into the surrounding area.
Please do not allow Mr. Hollaran to build his apartment complex at the current proposed size.
Sincerely,
Andrea and Dane Evans
