ASSOCIATION'S NATIONAL COMMUNITY PLANNING MONTH
Whereas, the American Planning Association is a national educational organization
which provides leadership in the development of living communities; and
Whereas, National Community Planning Month, is an annual celebration organized by the
American Planning Association to bring recognition to the achievements of citizen and
professional planners and the role they play in creating healthy, vibrant communities during the
month of October; and
Whereas, Main Street in Bozeman has been recognized as one of the American Planning
Association's Great Places in America; and
Whereas, It is appropriate to celebrate the long standing planning efforts in Bozeman that have
contributed to making it one of the Greatest Places in America; and
Whereas, the City of Bozeman values the work of the City Planners, Planning Board members,
the engineering and development community, and the many citizens and property owners who
have contributed to making Bozeman one of the Greatest Places in America;
Now, therefore, I, Carson Taylor, Mayor of Bozeman, declare and proclaim the City's enthusiastic
support for National Community Planning Month and thank The American Planning
Association, City Planners and the Development Community for their hard work and dedication
to making Bozeman not only the Most Livable Place, but also one of the Greatest Places in
America; and
I, Further Proclaim the City's support and do hereby encourage the City of Bozeman to recognize
and show appreciation for the achievements of Citizen and Professional Planners during the
American Planning Association's National Community Planning Month.
