HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-03-06 78 Bozernan, Hontana 6 Hardl 1974 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, Municipal Build ing, 6 March 1974, at 1:15 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner Vollmer, Comm- issioner Vflndeventer, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manar,er Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. Commissioner Lehrkind opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had. Minutes of the regular meeting held on Wednesday, 27 February 1974, were approve~ as read. I . Open ConstI.:.:!..~l.~:m Bids - Bogert Grove Pool Renovation & Adjoining Bath House & Nechanical Equipr~:ent ~1is was the time and place set for opening of bids for reconstruction of the Bogert t1unicipal Swimming Pool and for the ad,j oining bath house and the installation of new mechanical eouipment together with design and engineering of the project. Affidavit of publication of "Notice to Bidders" was pre- sented. This request was not considered prior to the adoption of Ordinance No. 940 on 30 ,Janua.ry 1971~ repealing Sub-Section 21.1 to and including 21.6 of Section 17.10 (Entitled Bozeman Area Zoning Ordinance) of the Official Code of the City of Bozeman. The City Manager concurred with the recommendation of the City Engineer and recommended that a inclusive at this time. The City Manager stated that building on Lots 12 through 16 condominium Use Permit be granted on all but Lots 12 through l6KIay be considered in the future pending I certain flood proofing. It was moved by Commissioner Taylor, seconded by COMmissioner Lehrkind that the Condominium Use Permit be granted on all but Lots 12 through 16 at this time. Plans and specifications for the purpose of fencing the Recreation Complex, Bogert Park Tenn:i.s Courts, and various school sites throughout the City as prepared by Morrison-~1aierle, Inc., 33 East 79 ~endenhall was placed before the Commission. The City Manager recommended that the plans and specifications as nresented be approved and that a "Call for Bids" for the fencing be authorized with an onen:i.ng date of 27 Harch 1971t. It was moved by Commissioner Lehrkind, seconded by Commissioner Vollmer, that they concur in the City I Managers recommendation and authorize and direct the Clerk, of the Commission to publish a "Call for Bids" with an opening date of 27 March 1974 and the motion was carried b~r the followlng Aye and No vote: those voting ~ye being Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Taylor, Com- missioner Vandeventer, and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. Following a review of the letter received from Paul E. Devine, Chief--Planning and Research Bureau, Department of Highways, it was moved by Commissioner Vollmer, seconded by Commissioner Van- deventer, that the priorities to be established as the more salient features of the 1973 Federal Aid Highway Act as it pertains to Federal Aid Urban Systems be as follows: 1. Approved the boundaries of the Federal Aid System for urban Bozeman. 2. Approved the Federal Aid System delineated on the enclosed map. 3. Established and recommends the following priorities for expenditure of the approximate $116,000 TOPICS money which was previously allocated to Bozeman, and which we have been informed by your office is to carry over and be available in addition to Federal Aid Urban System monies I under the 1973 Highway Act: 1;opics Fund Projects: l. It was moved by Commissioner Lehrkind, seconded by Commissioner Vollmer, that A.
