The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, Municipal
Building, 13 February 1974, at 1:15 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner Vollmer,
Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't.
City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
Commissioner Lehrkind opened the meeting iwth a prayer and the following proceedings were had.
I Minutes of the regular meeting held on Wednesday, 6 February 1974, were approved as read.
Authority to purchase 3/1." Copper Tubing, Approximately $3,300.00
The Water department has need for 4,000 feet 3/4" Copper Tubing and the City Manager requested
authority to place an order for the Copper Tubing at an estimated cost of $3,300.00. It was moved by
Commissioner Vollmer, seconded by Commissioner Vandeventer, that the purchase be approved in the
estimated amount of $3,300.00 and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind
and Mayor Sediyy; those voting No, none.
Architect Contracts for Execution - a) Don McLaughlin & Peter Romers - Recreation Complex
b) George Mattson - Fire Substation
c) Berg-Grabow and Partners - City Shop Building
The Architectural Contract Documents for the purpose of designing the proposed Recreation Complex
between the City of Bozeman and Don McLaughlin and Peter Kommers was presented. The City Manager re-
commended that the Contract Documents approved as to form by the City Attorney be approved. It was
moved by Commissioner Vandeventer, seconded by Commissioner Taylor, that the contract documents be
approved and that the Mayor and the Clerk of the Commission be authorized and directed to sign the
contract for the City of Bozeman and that Don McLaughlin and Peter Rommers be authorized to proceed
with the architectural services and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: Those
voting Aye being Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner
Lehrkind and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

I by and between the City of Bozeman and George Mattson was presented. The City Manager recommended
that the Contract Documents approved as to form by the City Attorney be approved. It was moved by
Commissioner Taylor seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind, that the contract documents be approved and the
Mayor and Clerk of the Commission be authorized and directed to sign the contracts for the City of
Bozeman and that George Mattson be authorized to proceed with the architectural design of the proposed
Fire Substation and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Vandeventer and Mayor
Sedivy; those vmting No, none.
It was moved by Commissioner Lehrkind, seconded by Commissioner Vollmer, that the Architectural
Contract Documents by and between the City of Bozeman and Berg-Grabow & Partners for the purpose of
designing the Prop~ed City Shop Building as approved by theCity Attorney be approved and the Mayor
and Clerk of the Commission be authorized and directed to sign for the City and that Berg-Grabow &
Partners be authorized to proceed with the architectural design of the proposed building. The motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Lehrkind, Commiss-
ioner Vollmer, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Taylor and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
License Bond - Gas Fitter, Gallatin Farmers - $2,000.00
In compliance with Chapter 16 of the Bozeman Municipal Code, the Gas Fitters bond of the Gallatin
Farmers in the amount of $2,000.00 was presented. The Building Inspector had recommended that the bond
be approved and the City Attorney approved the Bond as to form. It was moved by Commissioner Vollmer,
seconded by Commissioner Vandeventer, that the Gas Fitter Bond for Gallatin Farmers be approved and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vollmer,
I Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind and Mayor Sedivy; those voting
No, none.
Contract for Execution - Fencing Recreation Complex, Gallatin Trenching and Irrigation System
The Contract Documents for the installation of the fencing at the Recreation Complex awarded to
the Gallatin Trenching and Irrigation Systems at a cost of $3,990.00 with the City Purchasing the
necessary materials was presented.
The City Manager recommended that the Contract Documents be approved and the Mayor and the Clerk
be authorized and directed to sign the contract for the City of Bozeman and the Gallatin Trenching
and Irrigation System be authorized to proceed with the installation of the fencing. It was moved by

Commissioner Vandeventer, seconded by Commissioner Taylor, that they concur in the City Managers
recommendation as stated above and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner
Vollmer and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended approvm thereof. It was moved by
Commissioner Taylor, seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind, that the reports be approved and ordered filed
and the motion tl1as card ed by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Taylor, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Vandeventer and Mayor Sedivy,
those voting No, none.
Adiournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time. it was moved by
Commissioner Lehrkind, seconded by Commissioner Vollmer, that the meeting be adjourned and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Lehrkind. Comm-
issioner Vollmer, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Taylor and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No,
