HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-11-12 I I I 21 MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION Bozer.J.an, Hontana 12 November 1973 The Cornmission of the City of Bozeman met in spedal session in the Cornmission Room, Hunicinal Building, Monday, 12 November 1973, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 11-718,11-2312 and 11-3207, R.C.M., 1947. Present were Hayor Grabow, Cornmissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Vollmer, City !1anager Fryslie, City Attorney Ber~ and the Clerk. .Q.?-nv_assi.np;50~_ of G~~l and Special Election: The purpose of the special meeting was to canvass the votes of the City and special election held on Tuesday, 6 November 1973. in accordance with Sections 11-718, 11--2312 and 11-.3207 of the R. C .I~. , 1947. Tabulation of Election Returns ~,--"-'------~~~-,,,.................._.,. Under the provisions of Section 11-718, Section 11-.2312 and Section 11-3207, R.C.~~., 1947, the Cit~, Commission assisted by the Clerk of the Cornmission proceeded to canvass the returns. The Canvass showed that a total of 3610 electors voted. (40.15 percent) The results of the canvass were as follows: James H. Vollmer Carl Lehrkind, III Robert A. Taylor P. L. (Les) Nielsen Hary D. Holter Robert G. Soper 2,150 2,067 1,876 1,823 1,260 560 Special Election: Proposition No. 1 - For 2,415 Proposition No. 1 -- Ap;ainst 1,145 Proposition No. 2 ... For 2,220 Proposition No. 2 .. Against 1,317 It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind, that James 1v. Vollmer, Carl Lehrkind, III, and Robert A. Taylor be declared elected Commissioners for a four year term bep:in.. ninp: 7 .January 1974, and that .Tames W.
