HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-10-24 - 8 Bozeman, Hontana 24 October 1973 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session Wednesday, 24 October 1973, at 1:15 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Grabow, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vand-. eventer, Commissioner Vollmer, City Manager Fryslie, Assistant City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. Commissioner Vollmer opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had. Minutes of the regular meeting held 24 October were approved as read. ~~thority t~ Call for Bids - Tractor-Backhoe-Loader, Cemete~_p~par~ment - Open 14 Novembe,~ The Cemetery department has need for a 1973 tractor-backhoe-loader in the approximate amount of $8,500.00 with a 1957 trade-in, bids to be received and opened 14 November 1973. It was moved by Com- missioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind, that the purchase of the tractor-backhoe-loader be authorized and the Clerk be directed to issue a "Call for Bids" to be openea 14 November and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Com- missioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Vollmer, and Hayor Grabow; those voting No, none. Authori ty to Call for Bids - l1etal Building for Landfill, open ]'~"l'!.oyember. The City Manager requested authorization to call for bids for the purchase of a new metal building for the landfill with an opening date of 14 November 1973. Mayor Grabou proclaimed the "reek of 21-27 October as "American Education Heek" and urged all Bozeman Citizens, young and old, to seek involvement in the numerous facets of the education system in Bozeman and to re-affirm their interest in the aims and achievements and needs of the school age youth.
