'-> '"lo atJ Bozeman, Montana October 10, 1977 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in special session pursuant to call by the City Manager in the Commission Room, Municipal Building, Tuesday, October 10, 1977, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner MacNab, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Swanson, Commissioner Vandeventer, City Manager Gesko and the Clerk. The special meeting was called for discussion and consideration of rearranging priorities for I urban road improvements. Approximately fifty interested persons were present. The City Manager presented the following priorities: 1. Nineteenth Avenue from Main to Durston 2. Kagy Boulevard; Highland Drive to Willson Avenue (South Third) 3. Oak Street; 7th Avenue to Rouse Avenue 4. Nineteenth Avenue; Durston Road to Baxter Lane The City Manager then recommended that Kagy Boulevard from Third Avenue to Nineteenth Avenue be inserted as a 2A priority. He informed the Commission that the State Department of Highways contributes 24% and the Federal Government contributes 76% of the urban road improvements. After discussion, the City Manager recommended that Kagy Boulevard from Third Avenue to Ninettenth Avenue be designated as Item 3 and that it be treated as a separate item. Oak Street between 7th and Rouse would be designated as item 4. The City Manager stated it usually takes eight years to complete a project from its inception but if the City hires its own design consultant it could be completed in approximately three years. Dick Holmes of the State Department of Highways stated this would have no interference in pro- ceeding with priorities one and two. It was moved by Commissioner Vollmer, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that Kagy Boulevard from Third to Nineteenth Avenue be designated as item 3 and that Oak Street from 7th to Rouse Avenue be designated as item 4. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Swanson, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner MacNab, and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none I Adjournment There being no further business to come before the special meeting, it was moved by Commissioner .'
