The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission
Room, Municipal Building, 8 September 1976, at 1:15 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor
Vollmer, Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner
Vandeventer, Acting City Manager Wolf, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedin~
were had.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on Wednesday, 1 September 1976 were approved
as read.
Hearing - Amend Zoning Code - Sections 2.42 and 24
Amend Subdivision Regulations - Section 5 and 17.26
This was the time and place set for a public hearing to consider the request of
the Bozeman City-County Planning Staff to amend Sections 2.42 and 24 of the Bozeman
Area Zoning Code, and Sections 5 and 17.26 of the Bozeman Area Subdivision Regulations
Said amendments would change the definitions and requirements for Planned Unit Develo~
ments contained in the two ordinances.
After reviewing and considering the planning staff report, the Zoning Commission
voted unanimously to amend Sections 2.42 and 24 of the Bozeman Area Zoning Code and
Section 5 and 17.26 of the Bozeman Area Subdivision Regulations.
The Commission concurred with the recommendation of the Zoning Commission also
concurred in by the Acting City Manager and it was moved by Commissioner Lehrkind,
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that Sections 2.42 and 24 Planned Unit Development
(PUD) and Section 5 and 17.26 Planned Unit Development (PUD) be amended and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being commissioner
Lehrkind, Commissioner Sedivy, commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Vandeventer, and
Mayor Vollmer: those voting No, none.
university Alumni Association requesting permission to conduct a homecoming parade
on Saturday, 16 October 1976, at 10:00 a.m. was presented.
The parade is scheduled to begin at Buttrey's parking lot and continue down
Main Street to Rouse Avenue where they will disband.
It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Taylor, that the
request to conduct the Homecoming Parade be granted and the motion was carried by the

following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, commissioner
Taylor, Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Lehrkind, and Mayor Vollmer: those
voting No, none.
Fred Willson Architectural Society - George Mattson
A letter received from the Fred Willson Architectural Society along with a
suggested selection procedure prepared by the Fred Willson Architectural Society
was presented.
George Mattson was also present in regard to the proposed selections.
Fallowing a discussion, the Commission acknowledged receipt of the letter from
the Fred Willson Architectural Society and thanked Mr. Mattson for his presentation
of the suggested procedure for selecting architects for the City of Bozeman
architectural work.

The Acting City Manager commented on the reports and recommended they be
accepted.
It was moved by Commissioner Taylor, seconded by Commissioner Vandeventer, that

the reports be accepted and ordered filed. The motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Vandevente~
Commissioner Lehrkind, Commissioner Sedivy, and Mayor Vollmer; those voting No, none.

Open Bids - Bogert Park Pavilion
This was the time and place set for the opening of bids for the construction
of the Bozeman Bogert Park Pavilion as prepared by Berg-Grabow-Schofield Architects.
The affidavit of publication of the "Call for Bids" was presented.
It was moved by Commissioner Vandeventer, seconded by Commissioner Lehrkind,
that the bids be opened and read. The motion was carried by the following Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Vandeventer, Commissioner Lehrkind,
Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Taylor, and Mayor Vollmer; those voting No, none.
The following bids were then opened and read:

The Commission concurred with the recommendation of the Acting City Manager,
and it was moved by Commissioner Lehrkind, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that
the bids be referred to the Architects and the Park Recreation Department for their
study and final recommendation on Wednesday, 15 September 1976. The motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Lehrkind, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Vandeventer, and
Mayor Vollmer; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it
was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Taylor, that the meeting
be adjourned and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye bei~g Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Taylor, Commissioner Vandeventer,
Commissioner Lehrkind, and Mayor Vollmer; those voting No, none.
