The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in special session in the Commission Room Muni-
cipal Building, April 24, 1980, at 3:30 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor MacNab, Commissioner
Vollmer, Commissioner Stiff, Commissioner Swanson, Commissioner Mathre, City Manager Gesko,
I City Attorney Planalp, and the Acting Clerk.
Mayor MacNab opened the meeting and then closed the meeting to the public.
Recessed 3:35 p.m.- Executive session
Members of the Corrmi ss i on along with the Ci ty r1anager, the City Attorney, and the Acti ng
Clerk recessed at 3:35 p.m. for the purpose of going into an executive session.
Reconvened 4:25 p.m.
Mayor MacNab opened the meeting to the public.
Approval of Standard Audit Engagement Proposal
Commissioner Stiff, member of the Audit Committee, presented the letters of proposal for
prospective auditors to the Commission. He pointed out that they will be mailed on this day.
Commissioner Stiff presented and read aloud the list of dates for audit bid deadline, etc.
as set forth in full:
Wednesday, April 23, 1980 - City Commission Approval of Agreement
Thursday, April 24, 1980 - Mail letter of notice, audit contract and
audit engagement proposal
Tuesday, May 6, 1980 - Bidders conference 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Monday, May 19, 1980 - Proposals received by 12:00 noon to Mrs. Erna
Harding, DC/A invited.
Monday, May 19, 1980 - Audit Committee evaluation, 1:30 p.m.
I Wednesday, May 28, 1980 - Posposals to City Commission - Contract
awarded
August 31, 1980 - Books to auditors
December, 1980 - Audit report complete
It was moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Mathre, that the Commission
approve and send out the letters of proposal to prospective auditors. The motion was carried
by the fOllowing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Swanson, Commissioner
Mathre, Commissioner Vollmer, Corrmissioner Stiff, and Mayor MacNab; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved
by Commissioner Mathre, seconded by Commissioner Vollmer, that the Commission meeting be adjourned.
The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Mathre, Commissioner Vollmer, Commissioner Stiff, Corrmissioner Swanson, an or MacNab; those
voting No, none.
