SUBJECT: 2006 Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Upgrade – Phase I Expansion Project Amendment No. 8
MEETING DATE: September 26th, 2016

RECOMMENDATION: Approve and authorize City Manager to sign Amendment No 8 to the
Professional Services Agreement.
BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy of the partially executed Amendment No. 8 with HDR
Engineering, Inc. for the 2006 WRF Upgrade – Phase I Expansion Project. The document is in
the City’s standard format.
A previous amendment added the completion of the design and specification for the addition of
launder covers for the secondary clarifiers. After review of the clarifiers, it was determined that the weirs and baffles need to be replaced and the concrete coated prior to installation of the
launder covers. This amendment is to complete the necessary plans and specifications to
complete the weir, baffle and coating work.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission
FISCAL EFFECTS: $5,976.80.
