SUBJECT: Right of Way Acquisition Professional Services Agreement Amendment #2 to Task Order Number 01

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment #2 to Task
Order Number 01 with Dowl to provide Right-of-Way acquisition services at the intersection of Baxter Lane and Davis Lane as part of the current term contract.
BACKGROUND: In an effort to proactively acquire the right-of-way (R/W) needed to make
road and intersection improvements to the transportation network, public works and engineering
executed a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Dowl to provide acquisition services. The intent of this agreement was to issue task orders for each separate acquisition to be pursued. The attached Amendment #2 to Task Order Number 01 is in conformance with that PSA and
accounts for changes in the scope and cost of the appraisal of parcels 4 and 10 of the
Baxter/Davis intersection R/W acquisition.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None.
FISCAL EFFECTS: Fees for this acquisition effort are increased by $11,625.00 to a not to
exceed amount of $157,327.50. Fees will be paid for from the Transportation Impact Fee Right-
of-Way fund. ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
