WHEREAS, Human Resource Development Council's Streamline transit system has successfully
provided more than 2.4 million fare -free rides to Bozeman community members over the past
ten years; and
WHEREAS, HRDC's Streamline system has safely and efficiently traveled 2.2 million miles, saving
community members several million dollars in fuel costs over the past ten years; and
WHEREAS, HRDC's Streamline enhances public safety by providing over 27,000 late-night rides
per year; and
WHEREAS, HRDC's Streamline continues to provide numerous communities with access to life -
changing job opportunities, critical medical care, and valuable educational opportunities; and
WHEREAS, HRDC's Streamline is committed to high quality customer service by providing a bus
tracker, a mobile application, passenger shelters, and bike storage opportunties; and
WHEREAS, HRDC's Streamline proudly partners with the City of Bozeman, Montana State
University and numerous community organizations and businesses ensuring dollars remain
local; and
WHEREAS, HRDC's Streamline is a vital component in our region's livability and sustainability;
NOW THEREFORE, I, Carson Taylor, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby proclaim our
community's appreciation of HRDC's Streamline and I hereby declare August, 2016 as
STREAMLINE APPRECIATION MONTH, to thank HRDC and its partners for the Streamline public
transportation service.
