Message: I am writing in support of mobile food vendors. I believe strongly that food trucks and
food carts offer something completely different that brick and mortar establishments can offer to
the public. There needs to be a compromise so that the mobile food company owners, who have
invested their hard earned money and endless amount of hard work to make them successful, can
continue to earn a living in Bozeman. Their work ethic is second to none and their popularity is undeniable. I don't believe that they compete with the stationary restaurants, as their fare is so
completely different and who doesn't like a little friendly competition to step up their game?
There is no warrant to the claim that the trucks compete for money when there are so many
choices in town to begin with and the mobile vendors can't possible make the kind of income that
a brick and mortar kitchen does! I am encouraging you, The City of Bozeman, to find a way to allow them to coexist in downtown Bozeman and keep the positive energy that food trucks bring
