Dear Citizen Advisory Board Member,
The City of Bozeman would like to alert you to a unique cooperative opportunity in the
coming year that will impact your board's operations. Due to upcoming construction at
Hawthorne Elementary School, we have offered the City Commission Room in City Hall
as a temporary classroom space for their 2016-17 academic year. This allows for
significant cost savings for the School District, so the City's assistance in this matter is the
right thing to do for a critical community partner.
The City would also like to apologize to any boards that are inconvenienced by this
partnership. Only the City Commission, Zoning Commission, and Planning Board will
continue to have their regularly scheduled evening meetings in the room. Staff liaisons
will be rescheduling their board meetings to alternate locations within the City, County,
or School District. The class share will begin August 15, 2016 and continue until April
2017. With the exception of the above meetings, please assume that the City
Commission room will be unavailable for any meetings or events during this time
period.
Please find attached a number of documents to assist with this temporary inconvenience:
• List of all meetings/events scheduled in the City Commission room during this
time period. Meetings that will need to be moved are highlighted in yellow.
• List of alternate meeting facilities, their amenities, and who to contact for
scheduling them (for staff liaisons).
The City would like to thank everyone involved in advance for their patience and
understanding. The City has and will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience
associated with this endeavor. It is a privilege to have such an excellent working
relationship with our school district.
Best regards,
Chris Kukulski
