Members of the Bozeman City Commission:
lwould like you allto consider a thorough and compressive plan/ordinance restricting the on street
vendor use that is now impacting the downtown businesses. Sudden growth and increased presence is
in direct competition with established brick and mortar businesses. Brick and mortar businesses are
losing business daily from this increased presence, My concern is what will be the future loss of
business if a decision is not made that takes this into consideration.
Today the downtown business district stands at very pivotal time. With the current growth outside the
downtown shopping area the attraction to move business outside of the downtown shopping area is
everincreasing. Considerationfromthecommissionastotheimpactofthisdecisioniscriticalatthis
time especially to long established bu,sinesses. lt will not take long for the impacts to effect downtown
businesses. The current size of core businesses is not large. Losing any will have severe consequences to
those remaining.
The Round House and Chalet Sports are very proud of being a part of the business district in Bozeman.
We are particularly proud of be a partof the downtown foroverthirtyfiveyears. llookforward to
continuing this discussion and look forward to a positive decision.
