and vacation rentals, but maintaining the sense of community and the vitality of neighborhoods
is so very important. A restriction on number of allowed vacation rentals by neighborhood could
be a useful way of balancing the needs of tourism and community. The rental market in Bozeman is already very challenging, unrestricted conversion of apartments and houses to
vacation rentals would make housing even more of a mess, that should definitely be avoided at
all costs.
