Bozeman Beautification Advisory Board DRAFT Minutes for Wednesday, June 22, 2016 Meeting held at 4:30 pm, City Hall, Gallatin Meeting Room
Board members in attendance: Terry Quatraro, Jan Bergman, Ellie Staley, Judy Locker, I-Ho Pomeroy, QUORUM MET.
A. Called to Order: 4:42p.m. B. Changes to Agenda – add determining yearly schedule for BBAB mtg. to agenda before

None to report. E. Action/Discussion Items
1. Terry to send a thank you letter to Kris Claussman, 501 Evergreen
drive 2. Beautification Awards – Jessica attended it her first day in
Bozeman, board talked about the positive impact it has for the city – Ellie will book the November award date, Nov. 2 first choice then Nov. 9 and Nov. 3. 2015 expenses - $115 room rental (extra
$45), $12 for photos on certificated, $300 for bountiful table, estimated $500 budget for 2016, keep awards at~10. Talk about #
of frames per award winner at a later date. Jessica has all the
printed materials and extra frames to use.
Board discussed the procedure for choosing the awards, the board will nominate their own once the form is available online. The
board agreed the frog statue nomination would be pushed to the
2016 list of nominations. Jessica will email the past award winners with 2015’s added along with the link the nomination form and
criteria established in 2015.
3. Future Meeting Schedule: Board will meet Sept 28 at 4:30pm to
review the nominations and pick the 10-12 winners, Jessica will develop a spreadsheet or easy way to view them in advance. The
awards will be assembled on Oct. 26 at 4:30pm, not a formal
meeting but a work session. Then, BBAB awards ceremony will be in early Nov. once the date is confirmed. Then, Dec. party TBA.
Judy is happy to do it if Charlotte does not want to do it this year. Then in 2017, the BBAB will plan to meet again in Feb. & March
to plan for Clean Up Day in late April.
Moving forward the board will look to meet the 2 months prior to
each of the 2 events the BBAB board are involved in. The BBAB

awards are generally in early Nov. The Clean-Up Day is generally in late April in coordination with Earth Week.
4. The board briefly discussed the idea of the “Adopt-A-Park” program. Several people have already formally requested signs and the board would like to see those signs installed at minimum the
future of this program is unknown but will be discussed. 5. Ellie, Terry and Jan’s terms are coming at the end of June, for re-
applying, complete form online before June 30. Board will also
look into other people to fill the current 4 vacancies
F. Future agenda items: BBAB award details and work, Terry will review the current bylaws and will keep in touch with Jessica regarding the revisions and the board will vote and approve at a later date.
